International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators - Ohio Chapter Conference- 2002
Jim Rechel was a featured speaker at the 3rd Annual Training Conference. Jim presented a program he developed entitled "Inside the Mind of a Bank Robber". The program provided insight into the background of a bank robber who spent considerable time planning and training for a takeover style bank robbery in a small town in Kentucky. The suspect later committed suicide after being surrounded by police, but not before leaving behind a trail of evidence that, when combined with interviews, provided a unique perspective into the mind of a criminal. Much of the information is compiled to assist businesses in the development of deterrents to robberies.
